Biography
Biography | Hello Everyone, My name is Jacquelyn White, but my nickname is Jackie. I am 7th out of a family of 10 kids; 6 brothers and 3 sisters. I was born and raised in St. Petersburg, FL and currently live in St. Peters, MO with my husband Rodney, our daughter Sydney and my mother-in-law Lillie. I am a Mathematics Instructor and Tutor and our local community college but, I am currently on leave to care for our 24 year old daughter who was recently discharged from the hospital with ARDS (after 109, where 89 days were in ICU). Our son Wesley, graduated from Ohio University in Dec. 2019 and still resides and works in Athens, OH. The past two years has been life changing and filled with a lot of health challenges for myself, our daughter and mother-in-law. I had been very successful in changing my nutritional plan to a very healthy one with few carbs, no cane sugar and a few other food allergens removed (corn, soy & dairy). After 7-8 months I was at a very healthy weight, looked great and was feeling strong, healthy and very functional. During this time I also studied and received my NASM Personal Trainer Certification in Oct., 2019. Then, during exercising I fell doing chin-ups on my concrete basement floor & bruised my tailbone. A month later I started having hip pain and found out I had osteoarthritis of the left hip. Long story short, I had a complete hip replacement in Nov, 2020 and a pacemaker battery replaced in Aug, 2020. I was down and out for several months, but all of my hard work to get fit, nutritionally clean, healthy and strong went awry. Not being able to walk let alone exercise, I was depressed awhile and I did slip back into some unhealthy habits of food choices, but not so much to alter my weight as it is currently now. I am not happy, I don’t feel healthy, fit, nor strong in my body. I’m back on track nutritionally as I had been several months prior all the surgeries. However, I’m now 20-25 lbs over the weight I was before all this happened. So, that’s why I decided to join MasVida, with Massy Arias. I had been following her for about a year and have done some of her workouts found online and I know she is legit and is what I need to help me know how best to exercise MY body and how to best FUEL/FEED My body to achieve my ideal weight and be able to maintain it. Plus, learn from her since I’m very new and raw at being a personal trainer. I’m excited to join the program and I’m ready to go! ~Jackie |
