Cornelia gave some great insight. One surprising thing I learned recently is that we do not typically prepare grains how they were traditionally prepared (soaked and/or sprouted), so therefore we don’t always properly digest them. If you have food intolerances, as Cornelia mentioned, this could be another cause, but you could do a simple food intolerance test online to see what is causing it. My husband and I did one months ago and found that our bodies didn’t tolerate many foods, even ones we were surprised with (like kale and chicken for him, Brussels sprouts and sesame for me).
